Everpure introduces new filtration solutions for specialty coffee applications

The new Innovative ESO water treatment cartridge blends filtered water and softened water in one convenient quick-change design

Hanover Park, IL - September 23, 2005 - Everpure, LLC, the leading manufacturer of water filtration systems to the foodservice industry, today introduced the ESO cartridge as part of their new specialty coffee water treatment line. Unveiled at the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) show in Anaheim, CA, this unique cartridge combines Everpure's signature precoat filtration with softening capabilities in one cartridge.

Everpure's exclusive precoat filtration technology provides superior chlorine taste and odor reduction and micro-filters dirt and particles as small as ˝ micron in size. These filters reduce asbestos fibers and cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. By combining water softening capability, the ESO cartridge greatly reduces mineral content in truly ingredient-quality water.

"The ESO cartridge is truly unique. Unlike other products, it blends filtered water rather than raw water," said Tony Fischer, Product Manager for Everpure. "That's very important in specialty coffee applications where taste is critical and where water greatly affects the quality of beverages."

The ESO cartridge has 503 gallon capacity with 150 ppm incoming water hardness (4,440 grains). For greater capacity and higher flow rates, the ESO cartridge can be used in multiple configurations, including twin, triple and quad systems.
